A Year in Review: 2024

What a year 2024 was for our project.

We launched the calls for the fellowships for the four hubs, received an overwhelming response, and spent much of the spring reviewing the applications. Finally, the fellows were selected and in October, they arrived in their respective hubs to start working on the projects. Connecting them across the hubs, the Methods Clinic kicked off, as well as the masterclass series and the online cross-hub events.

We held a large-scale conference in Budapest entitled Democracy and Development – Global Dialogue on Autocracy and Re-Democratization.

The hubs also organized their own events, from lectures to conferences and book clubs.

The Review of Democracy journal launched a Cross-regional Dialogue section, edited by new Global Forum editors, publishing essays and creating podcasts.
