Fellows in Colombo Visit Jaffna Peninsula and Mullaitivu

Our Colombo hub, the Social Scientists’ Association organized an exposure visit to the Fellows to the Jaffna Peninsula and Mullaitivu.

On the first day, the fellows engaged in an academic discussion headed by Dr. Ahilan Kadirgamar on post-war reconciliation and reconstruction efforts in Jaffna with a special focus on the role of cooperatives in these efforts.

On the following day, the fellows visited multiple cooperatives to discuss the service and struggles of the employees working there and their experiences in a post-war society.

To conclude their visit, the Fellows visited the Jaffna Public Library, Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil, and the Jaffna Fort.
